briana salter, M.s.

performance consultant

Briana has had a passion for high performance since her days as a competitive swimmer in Northeast Ohio. From her enthusiasm for the world of sport, sprung an early interest in what sets the best in their craft apart from the rest. Briana pursued this interest to West Virginia University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Sport, Exercise and Performance Psychology. While at WVU, she was involved in research investigating help-seeking behaviors of club sport athletes. Briana’s continued passion for the field then took her to South Florida where she acquired a Master of Science in Sport and Performance Psychology at Barry University. The program afforded her the opportunity to consult with a wide variety of athletes including professional and collegiate golfers, boxers, and tennis players. In addition to her work with athletes she conducted research exploring the experiences of resilience in athletes with a disability.

Upon the completion of her degrees, Briana accepted a position as a military contractor to work with U.S. Army soldiers where she trains mental skills to some of the best tactical athletes and leaders in our nation.  While the transition from sport athletes to tactical athletes provided a new challenge, it also provided a renewed vigor for the field of performance psychology and serving those who serve our country. Briana quickly recognized that the skills being employed by the nation’s top performers could also be brought to those who value high performance in the corporate setting. This led to the founding of Salter Performance Consulting, LLC in 2020. Since the inception of her consulting business, Briana has devoted even more of herself to improving group functioning, relationships, and performance by providing mental performance and resilience consulting to leaders and organizations that are looking to be a step above of the rest.
